Twitch is further expanding their presence in the sports world. With Thursday Night Football last NFL season and now a select group of Premiere League games, Amazon sees an opportunity to expand Twitch further beyond the gaming world.
This is a good marker of Twitch's expansion and shows the platform will take on a role more similar to cable TV in the future. Commercials especially are something I see Twitch adding to more broadcasts starting with the sports competitions but expanding to esports.
